Two
Pullman Porters struggle against the meanness and racism of the Pullman
Sleeping Car Company in 1926, the year A. Philip Randolph began
organizing the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters. Set in West
Oakland, the play includes the porters' landlady; a local "club woman"
and community organizer; and a young sharecropper anxious to learn the
