Fruitcakes.  The guardian spirit of an aging waitress appears to her with an important message as the waitress is buying Christmas fruitcakes.  Multiple productions.  Two women, one about 60, one of indeterminate age.  About 25 minutes.

 

The E.B.F.F. Wants You.  Two sisters, one a lesbian, both widowed, deal with how to find fulfilling social lives in Berkeley, CA.  Multiple productions throughout the United States.  Included in Seniors Acting Up, a collection of one-act plays. Three seniors, two female and one male.  About 35 minutes.  The E.B.F.F. is available for purchase online from JAC Publications.

 

Cat in a Cell.  A high school English teacher and a baseball star are trapped together in a medical building elevator. First production at the Marin Fringe Festival in 2003.  One male, Black, early 30s.  One female, White, late 20s.  One other actor, male or female, who plays several parts.  Approximately 40 minutes.

 

Squish Squash.  Two rival gardeners on their way to a county fair in Ireland.  First production, Onstage Theatre, Pleasant Hill, CA, in 1992.  Two females, early 20s.  Approximately 3 minutes.

 

How Can We Have a Picnic If You Didn't Bring the Veggies?  A woman on a break from nursing her dying mother has her favorite park bench usurped by a homeless man.  First production, Onstage Theatre, Pleasant Hill, CA, in 1992.  One female, 35-40.  One male, indeterminate age.  25 minutes.

 

A Neutral Stage.  A widow arranging to put her house up for sale finds unexpected connections with the realtor. First produced in Three Times Three in Oakland, CA, in 2001. Two women, one 65, one 50.  35 minutes.

 

You Can Bank on Copies At FastPrint.  Comedy.  A customer in a copy shop is mistaken for a bank robber. First produced in Three Times Three in Oakland, CA, 2001.  Three men, one Black, 35, one East Indian, 25, one White, 40.  Four women, one 60, White, one 25, White, one 35, White, one late 20's, Black.  25 minutes.

 

Different From Her.  Comedy.  An indifferent store clerk gets a new perspective on her boyfriend.  First produced in Three Times Three in Oakland, CA, 2001.  Two women, ages 25 and 40; one male, 35.  Any race.  30 minutes.
